While Autumn and Spring are the best times to visit open gardens in the Blue Mountains, you will find a number of gardens open to the public at anytime of year.
In Spring the Blue Mountains is host to many garden festivals showcasing local gardens during September, October and November.

A highlight of any trip to the region for garden lovers is a visit to the beautiful Blue Mountains Botanic Garden Mt Tomah - open throughout the year. There is a program of guided walks, exhibitions, workshops and talks of interest to anyone who loves gardens.
The following gardens are open at various times during the year - usually Spring and Autumn, however a couple are open all year round and are worth a visit at any time of year. We have also included a couple of open gardens in Oberon.

Blackheath Rhododendron Festival is in early November each year. Other highlights at the garden are April-May for autumn colours and camelias; Sep-Oct for spring blossoms and bulbs; Oct-Nov peak blooming for rhododendrons and azaleas.

Unfortunately this garden is not suitable for wheelchairs. It is also not suitable for small children as there are water features. Rare plants on sale on open days. Tea/coffee and light snacks available to purchase.

This small garden contains over 400 fuchsias and there are hundreds of fuchsias both large and small for sale on the open day.

Hazelbrook, Woodford & Linden Garden Festival
Open: 10am to 4pm: 8-15 September 2019.
Plant sales at Tarraleah, Banool and 20 Mile Hollow Cafe. Present your Garden Festival ticket at 20 Mile Hollow Cafe (Woodford) for a free coffee or tea.
This is a fundraiser for Hazelbrook Public school P&C Association.
