Open Gardens in the Blue Mountains
While Spring is the best time to visit open gardens in the Blue Mountains, you will find a number of gardens open to the public at anytime of year.
In Spring the Blue Mountains is host to many garden festivals showcasing local gardens in September, October and November. Don't miss the Leura Garden Festival, Oberon Spring Garden Festival, the Blackheath Rhododendron Festival - just to name a few.
The following gardens are open at various times during the year - usually Spring or Autumn, however some open all year round and are worth a visit at any time of year.
Edgemount
Where: 14 Banksia Park Road, Katoomba
Open: 10am-4pm - September

One acre of garden on the cliff edge near the Three Sisters. Bulbs, flowering cherries, dogwoods, apricots, azaleas, rhododendrons, natives and three water features.
Devonshire Tea in the garden - $5 each

Everglades Gardens

Fuchsia Garden

This small garden contains over 400 fuchsias and there are hundreds of fuchsias and geraniums for sale on the open day. Demonstrations of pruning and shaping and other aspects of growing fuchsias are given and lucky gate prizes to be won during the day. See dozens of beautiful and easy to grow fuchsias that are sun and frost resistant. This is a joint project of the Blue Mountains-based Fuchsia Club of NSW Inc and Hazelbrook Public School.
