Katoomba Accommodation - Blue Mountains
Katoomba is the heart of the Blue Mountains and if there was a capital city of this region, Katoomba would be it.
Katoomba has been one of the most popular places to visit in the Blue Mountains since the end of the 19th century. Visitors from all over the world come to see spectacular views of the World Heritage listed Blue Mountains National Park, visit the Scenic Skyway and Scenic Railway and to enjoy the many bushwalks, restaurants, cafes and accommodation.
Katoomba is about a 2 hour drive from Sydney and is an ideal place to visit as a day trip or to spend a weekend or more.
Base yourself in Katoomba to explore nearby villages including Blackheath, Leura, Wentworth Falls and Mount Victoria.
Jenolan Caves is a must-see attraction and is just over an hour’s drive west.
What to See and Do in Katoomba
Echo Point and the Three Sisters

There are two levels of viewing at Echo Point. The top level is where the Visitors Centre is located. On the second level you can access Spooners Lookout, Lady Jane Lookout and the Prince Henry Cliff Walk.

The Carrington Hotel
This historic Katoomba landmark dates back to 1882. The hotel was renamed The Carrington in 1886, the Grand Dining Room was created and the hotel was considered a world-class establishment.
In 1998, after eight years of restoration, the Carrington Hotel is again a popular place to stay in the Blue Mountains. Visit one of the bars, lounges or restaurants at the Carrington Hotel and enjoy the elegance of another era. The Carrington Hotel also hosts many events throughout the year.
