Fairmont Resort Blue Mountains - Leura, BLUE MOUNTAINS
Address:
1 Sublime Point Road, Leura, BLUE MOUNTAINS Australia
Description:
The Fairmont Resort changed ownership in late February 2010 and in early March, a new Management team was appointed to progressively restore the Fairmont Resort to its rightful position as the premier leisure and conference destination in the region. Perched on the edge of Australias World Heritage Listed Blue Mountains, just a 90 minute drive from Sydney; the Fairmont Resort has something for everyone.
Featuring 210 rooms, the Fairmont Resort is the perfect place for a romantic escape, a get together with a group of friends or family or a business retreat or conference.
Food and wine philosophy
At the Fairmont Resort we take dining very seriously. Our philosophy of modern cuisine means using the freshest local produce and combining them with Asian, French, Indian and Italian styles. This is evident from the miso or homemade jams and pastries for breakfast to the contemporary Australian cuisine available in Eucalypt. Coupled with a superb wine list, Eucalypt is the perfect venue for your Friday or Saturday evening dining. Enjoy one of our modern cocktails near the open fire, snack by the pool or gourmet picnic hamper.
If it is an intimate getaway or catering for groups up to 700, our staff are here to make your stay memorable.

June 22, 2010. Their Baaaack. A long tree lined driveway takes you down to an impressive large foyer, I was warmly greeted by two lovely, impeccably dressed gentlemen who escorted me to the front desk. Staff here were friendly and efficient, check in was a breeze.
After reading some of the previous reviews I was a little worried, all my fears disappeared once I opened the door to my room. It was spacious, meticulously clean, I had a lovely bushy outlook. I'd booked the cheapest room without a mountain view, but looking onto the bush was just as nice. The room had been recently revamped, new bathroom complete with large bath and nice bath products, a king bed, flat screen TV with cable channels...
I think the past is behind them now, they are really trying hard to regain their image as one of the premier acommodation spots in the Blue Mountains. By nelliesydney.
June 19th 2010. FRIENDLIEST STAFF IN AUSTRALIA - After reading some positive reviews, we returned after an absence of 2 years, having being regulars before then.
The staff were superb, from a super smooth check in, great breakfast, room service and dinners. Two thirds of the rooms have been reopened having been renovated- new large screen TV's etc.
The hotel is now super clean and awaiting new owners. The staff were the most obliging we have encountered outside Japan! The hotel rates are extremely low as they are rebuilding loyalty which was a pleasant surprise. By SydTraveller16
June 8th, 2010 GREAT VALUE - Fairmont is staging a comeback!! - Stayed there for 2 nights from 21 May 2010.....Drinks by the log fire on Friday evening. I was worried about poor past reviews, but with a change of management the Fairmont Resort is certainly delivering good value and service now. The heated indoor pool and sauna were amongst the best I've seen, and the location and views are hard to beat. Though some parts need a bit of TLC, the rooms and main areas are very good. Loved the king size bed and robes!! Lots of 5 star touches for a 3 star price tag. Hoping to go back again for another weekend soon By Brettie.
May 27th 2010A LOVELY Mountain Resort Hotel - We loved the tree lined driveway up to the entrance, and the foyer decor and views are very welcoming and sets a good impression on arrival
The check in staff are well presented and professional. Concierge very helpful with luggage and local information, sightseeing etc......by leura6
April 2010 WANTED To Stay Longer and just spent the one night, but wished I have been able to stay much longer. We stayed in just a standard room, which had everything we needed. I found everything very clean and staff very helpful. The resort facilities are fantastic, but we just didn't had time to try most of them. If you were travelling with children they just have everything to keep the kids entertained....By jeniv
