Getting There:

By car: From Sydney take the M4 Motorway and follow it west towards Penrith. The motorway becomes the Great Western Highway at Lapstone. Follow the highway through the mountains for approximately 55km (50 minutes). When you reach Katoomba, make a left turn at the second set of traffic lights (beside bridge). Turn left at the first roundabout, go straight ahead through second roundabout and we are the first street on the left after this.

An alternative route is to travel the Bells Line of Road, which starts just past Richmond/Windsor. This trip takes a bit longer but is very scenic.

By train: Trains depart from Sydney Central Station to the Blue Mountains every hour. Alight from the train at Katoomba Station. Taxis are available to bring you to Mountain Heritage (approximately a one minute journey).

Very happy with the stay in general. A couple of small things that come to mind though. 1) Reception staff welcome was not as friendly or warm as one would expect. 2) The keys were warn and hard to get to work in the locks, especially the outside door. 3) no cream served with scones during breakfast buffet. Beautiful place, food was delicious. The piano playing was lovely, and a very nice touch. Will be back!

The scones at breakfast time is not something that we normally put out but I do agree with you that you must have cream and jam with them (not too early though).
