Wild Australia: The Edge
The dinosaur of the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Listed region - the Wollemi pine - will roar into life once more as Wild Australia: The Edge movie is screened at Katoomba Christian Convention Conference Centre for the rest of 2012.
Wild Australia: The Edge movie will screen at the Katoomba Christian Convention (KCC) Conference Centre for the remainder of 2012 after it was closed at The Edge Cinema in January.
Narrated by acting silver screen heavyweight Hugo Weaving, the film will open at a custom-built mini-cinema at the KCC Conference Centre next to Scenic World on March 21 and screen for guest groups staying at the centre and other pre-booked groups.
KCC marketing co-ordinator Mark Boyd said: "We are thrilled to be able to screen such a iconic Blue Mountains film. We had already taken many bookings for our Blue Mountains Ed school camp package, which includes a screening of The Edge movie. When we found out it was closing we were keen to have it remain in the program so we have obtained a licence to show the movie for this year."
The Edge movie features one of the world's rarest living botanical discoveries - the Wollemi pine, as well as unique Blue Mountains mist-filled valleys and gorges, mountain waterfalls, lush rainforests and hidden underground caves.
