October 2012
The inaugural Blue Mountains Lithgow and Oberon Tourism Festival of Walking was held from 8th-15th October 2011, across locations throughout the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage area. The Festival of Walking is a celebration of the beauty of nature, the health and well being benefits of walking, acknowledgement of Aboriginal custodianship and culture and homage to the history, heritage and conservation of this special region.
A diverse programme of free and costed events were held during the eight day festival including walks in gear from yesteryear, photographic exhibitions, walks to mystery locations and guided and self guided activities for everyone from challenging wilderness treks to gentle street strolls.
Don't miss the festival in 2012.
