Blue Mountains Botanic Garden - Mt Tomah

The Blue Mountains Botanic Gardens, Mt Tomah, is located on the Bells Line of Road via Bilpin in the World Heritage listed Greater Blue Mountains. The 28 hectares of gardens are 1,000 metres above sea level and specialise in cool-climate plants - both native and exotic.

The gardens are an exceptionally beautiful place to visit in any season. Stroll around the different areas of the gardens at leasure or guided walks are available.

In addition, there are various festivals and events taking place throughout the year.

The Visitor Centre includes changing art exhibitions, a gift shop and an excellent restaurant with fabulous views. The restaurant is open every day except Christmas Day. Hours are 10.15am-4.45pm (summer) and 10.15am-3.45pm (winter).

A new exhibition centre - the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Centre - was opened in 2010. Through hands-on activities, visitors can take a virtual journey through the Blue Mountains wilderness area and learn about the Aboriginal culture, the plants and animals and geological forces that make up this land.

The gardens are open every day (except Christmas Day) from 9am-5.30pm Mon-Fri and 9.30am-5.30pm Sat, Sun and public holidays. There is no entry fee.
